In today’s high performing primary care organizations, medical assistants are essential members of the healthcare team.
They are often the first point of contact for patients, with deep knowledge of their personal and medical histories. They are essential in pre-visit planning and pulling data from electronic health records to maximize the value of the patient visit.
NIMAA training combines first class online learning with concurrent externship in a primary care clinics. NIMAA offers an affordable seven-month program that provides the skills and knowledge needed to be effective on the first day of work.
The need for medical assistants is projected to increase 23 percent over the next decade. NIMAA training prepares students to be effective medical assistants and opens the door to other careers in healthcare.
Students will be accepted into the NIMAA Medical Assistant Program and practice skills in a long-term externship with our clinic partners, in states where NIMAA is licensed to operate or is providing business training.
